Military Education Program

Colorado Christian University’s accelerated degree programs help to prepare active duty, veterans and their spouses prepare for leadership roles in professional sectors.

These programs are flexible to the needs of busy adults who have to incorporate either full-time work or are prone to short notice deployments. CCU offers academic programs online and at convenient locations throughout Colorado at special tuition rates.

Special military programs offered at Colorado Christian University:
Yellow Ribbon - CCU matches tuition contributions from the federal government in agreement with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs.
GI Bill (Post 9/11) - Considered the most comprehensive education benefit package since the original GI Bill.
MyCAA for military spouses - Up to $6000 in government-sponsored financial assistance.

Special military tuition rates
Service members taking undergraduate classes in CCU’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies program will incur no out-of-pocket tuition costs (under the present Tuition Assistance rules). This differs slightly for our online courses, because some have technology fees which are not covered by this new policy.

Your active duty may earn you credit
Active duty military personnel and veterans may receive undergraduate credit for Basic Training and other formal educational experience gained while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Potential transfer credit may already be documented on the CCAF (Air Force), AARTS (Army), and SMARTS (Navy/Marines) transcripts.

• Criminal Justice – Associate Degree

  • Our Criminal Justice Associate degree program gives you an introduction to criminal justice practices and topics in our country. Curriculum focuses on areas such as criminal courts, corrections, criminology and juvenile justice. You can prepare for entry-level careers in a range of criminal justice fields or use your Associate degree as a stepping stone to our Bachelor’s degree program.

• General Studies – Associate Degree

  • Gain a broad foundation of knowledge that covers many aspects of a Liberal Arts education. This degree focuses on communications, humanities, history, behavioral and social sciences, biblical studies, mathematics, natural science, and computer science. This program a good step to completing a Bachelor's degree program.

• LPN to Associate of Science in Nursing – Associate Degree

  • This program continues to challenge and train licensed nursing students to become exceptionally compassionate and competent nurse leaders. Important: You must be a licensed practical nurse to enroll in this program. Please check with our admissions office about the prerequisites for entering the LPN to Associate of Science in Nursing program.

  • The Biblical Studies degree is designed to provide a foundation for graduates to pursue a career in the seminary, ministry positions, missions, social service and/or for personal spiritual development. Students gain a foundation of knowledge to interpret the Bible for themselves and for others. Key leadership proficiencies are combined with a biblical studies experience to provide students with a solid and meaningful framework to put theory into practice.

• Organizational Management in Christian Leadership – Bachelor degree

  • This Christian Leadership degree is specifically designed to equip those involved in church ministries. It focuses on interpreting motivation, ethics and teamwork for effective spiritual leadership of larger groups. You may also participate in CCU’s annual Values-Aligned Leadership Summit to discuss the role of values and ethics in today’s workplace.

• Organizational Management in Human Resources – Bachelor degree

  • Learn the fundamental duties of human resources administration that focuses on ethical principles of leadership, enhancing career possibilities in human resources, crisis and risk management, legal ethics, and more.   • A program that helps you earn a provisional teaching license with an emphasis on special education. Under mentor-teacher supervision, you can prepare for full-time teaching employment and receive relevant training you can apply to your future career.

• Alternative Licensing Program for Educators – Educator licensing programs

  • This Licensing Program for Educators is a one-year program that helps you earn a provisional teaching license. You must apply through the Colorado Department of Education and have a teaching contract before applying to CCU. State of Colorado License.

• Licensing Program for Educators – Early Childhood Education – Educator licensing programs

  • Learn to inspire and motivate students from preschool to third grade. You can graduate from this program with the skills, experience and credentials necessary to teach in any public, charter or private school.
